4 Quick, Good Things

Posted on 10/24/202510/24/2025 by Bryan Romey

Good morning! You are amazing. Let’s hop on this train before it leaves!

1. This video (1:50) from Beltline and The Alliance at Cook Park absolutely warmed our hearts. Thank you to Carrie, Michael, Dr. Bernardin, and everyone who is answering the call at Cook Park and throughout ATL.

2. I was giving in to my favorite app, NYT Games (Wordle, Spelling Bee, etc.), when the tiniest little birdie flew up and landed on the windowsill to my left. She was a sharp mix of bright yellows and light blues, so cute. I was shocked to hear her speaking, and what she was sharing surprised me. She said that later this month, there might be news stories about saturated fats.

“You might want to get in front of this,” she said and then flew away.

My personal belief about saturated fats agrees with the current position of the Office of Disease Prevention and Promotion (HHS) and the AHA’s take. These hyperlinks are very helpful.

Thank you, little birdie. I guess I don’t know if you were a boy or girl birdie, but I appreciate you.

3. Do any of you get Nice News in your inbox? They have great stuff. Just between you and me, I cannot read this article from them without choking up. I don’t know if it is a happy or sad frog in my throat, but it’s there. I will be doing these field trips at our local WWAD. Has anyone else done these? I would love to hear about your experience. My cardiology teammate, Megan, says ‘We don’t deserve dogs” – I’m 100% on board with that.

4. Congratulations to Scranton, PA (Valley in Motion and Connell Park Walking Club), on this wonderful milestone. Roxy, you nailed it in those two quotes. Thank you!

Here’s wishing you all a peaceful, relaxing couple of days filled with wonder.
